Gabbert Named IAWF Executive Director

           

The IAWF announced in March/April that Bill Gabbert has joined the leadership team as executive director.

Gabbert brings expertise in program management, wildland fire management and special event management. He previously served on the IAWF Board of Directors, was fire management officer for a group of seven U.S. National Parks in the northern Great Plains, held wildland fire management positions for the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service in Southern California and the Midwest, and served on several Type 1 and Type 2 Incident Management Teams assigned to wildland fires, natural disasters and large planned events.

Gabbert has written product reviews and articles for Wildfire. He will continue to manage Sagacity Wildfire Services, the company he started after his federal government career.
