Due to the phenomenal support and article contributions from the global wildfire community, the Editorial Advisory Board is pleased to announce that a new website will be unveiled during the first quarter of 2011. (Once the site is up, the URL will be prominently posted on the IAWF's webpage.) While Wildfire magazine will continue to be the go-to place for feature articles, the website will enable the IAWF to provide readers with greater content. Some examples include: author profiles, photo(s) of the month, policy discussions and more. As far as photos, fire scenes are not necessary. This will be an opportunity to share the uniqueness and beauty of places others only dream of visiting, while at the same time, making people aware of how the images (people, flora, fauna, structures, etc.) are perhaps at risk from wildfire. We will let you know when we are ready to begin collecting photos. One final thought is that we continue to encourage authors to submit their articles in a second language. Many of our community members are not proficient in English, so please help us to remove this barrier. Thanks for your support!
