Safety Summit raises funds for three nonprofits

             

The recent 11th International Wildland Fire Safety Summit held in Missoula, Montana, brought together wildfire professionals from all over the world. Their attendance at after-hour special events benefited three nonprofit organizations at the local, national and international levels.

IAWF members gave donations to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation during a silent auction of fire-related items donated from around the world. In addition, the IAWF joined with the Museum of Mountain Flying and the International Fire Relief Mission for a special showing of the 1952 movie, Red Skies of Montana. Money raised by the large turnout of enthusiastic viewers was shared with the museum and the IFRM.
