As we place the finishing touches on this year's final issue, it's difficult not to reflect on the tragedies, trials and tribulations that have occurred over the last 12 months. It's been another year where friends and comrades have perished while doing their job — doing what they loved.
But with every ending there is a beginning — a new year and a fresh start. For some the wildland fire season has all but ended, while others are in the midst of battle. Regardless of physical location, each of us has the opportunity to make a difference. Share your story, your thoughts and your experiences to help create a world where everyone returns home safe and sound at the end of each assignment.
