In February, board member Marty Alexander was presented with a plaque of appreciation in recognition for his many contributions to national wildland fire-behavior training in Canada. Alexander helped develop and teach Alberta's first advanced fire behavior course, served as the chairperson for the national Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center-sponsored Advanced Wildland Fire Behavior Course, for which he also was an instructor, and was a co-developer and chairperson of the Wildland Fire Behavior Specialist course.
