IAWF Comings And Goings

           

Board member Gary Morgan and President Chuck Bushey represented the IAWF at the Third International Symposium of Fire Economics, Planning and Policy: Common Problems and Approaches. IAWF co-sponsored the symposium held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The conference was especially well attended by representatives from the European Union and North and South America.

Also, board member Dan Bailey was a principal part of the team that led to the development of the recently released National Blue Ribbon Panel on Wildland Urban Interface report. One of the results of the panel's deliberations will be the formation of a National Advisory Council on Wildland Urban Interface, which will have its inaugural meeting on Nov. 5-6 in Washington, D.C.
