A major benefit of IAWF membership is free online access to all published research. The third issue of the International Journal of Wildland Fire has as its feature paper "Accommodating non-market values in evaluation of wildfire management in the United States: challenges and opportunities." The article reviews wildfire-related non-market valuation literature, discusses the challenges of accounting for non-market benefits and costs of wildfire in wildfire management decision-support tools, and proposes a research agendum to support more efficient management of wildfire in the United States.

The following papers are in this issue:

  • "Accommodating non-market values in evaluation of wildfire management in the United States: challenges and opportunities," Tyron J. Venn and David E. Calkin
